Hi,

I have a Yamaha CS6R sound module which has some knobs on the front panel. Here is what I want to achieve :

If I recorded an arp pattern in MIDI Track 5 and then I want to add some Knobs movement on this arp (say cut-off/Reso etc ..). How to do it ?

I remembered someone has posted the answer somewhere before : one can add another track with same MIDI Channel. By pressing the "REC" button, I can turn the knobs and Sonar will record the movement. I've done that but it didn't help. Any idea ?

Thanks!

look in the back of your soundcanvas manual. it should have a list of midi controller numbers. you can use those midi controller numbers to do what you want. if you don't see the midi controller number, then start looking at the RPN and NRPN numbers. if that doesn't have what you are looking for, then you should start looking at System Exclusive messages. Try to see if there is an editor for your soundcanvas, it will make it easier to tweak.

oh yeah, also look to see if there is a studioware panel for your keyboard. if not, you can make one.

Aaaah... Yamaha CS6R ?
I found
this link you may interest... ;)
BTW, in SONAR have you checked Options --> Global --> MIDI ? It provides MIDI record filter. By default, not all kind of MIDI data is recorded (I forget, but some kind of MIDI data left unchecked). You must check it... ;)
