Is there any way to possibly have your microphone input directly into your computer? Are there any jacks I need to buy, etc. (already own nice mics)

If you have dynamic mics (i.e they don't need batteries or phantom power) then you can probably just go to radio shack and drop about $20 on a couple cables and adapteres that would do the trick. The salesman can help you find what you need. Take your mic with you just to be sure, unless you're confident you know what you need.
Be warned that it won't sound all that great- the preamps in the computer probably aren't going to be all that pleasant. That's why Farview pointed you to M-Audio products. They replace the soundcard with *much* better preamps- less noise, better sound, better all around.
When I first got serious about computer recording I tried pluggning the mic into the computer... lasted about 2 days before i bought a Tascam US-428. Plugging straight in got me hooked on the computer, but... oh, it sounds bad.

Look at your soundcard, it should have an input marked mic in. You can get the adapter to connect your mic to it but as already said, the sound quality wont be very good. A better way to go is to use a mic preamp and use the line in on your soundcard. If you have a cassette recorder you could even use it as a preamp. Chances are that you would need an adapter to go from the deck (likely to have RCA jacks for the line out) to the soundcard (most likely a 1/8 stereo) you can get these types of adapters at Radio Shack for $4 or $5 or from most music stores. Be sure to use the line out, do NOT use the speaker outs, they will overload your soundcard and do serious damage. Good luck and welcome aboard.
