How to record without any loss?

I’m Not Recording in Mono

Hey, I’m Not Recording in Mono
Guys! Sorry for confusion… I wanted to say I use (in-left) and (in-right) of my sound card while recording. Yeah, it needs two… So you see I use two inputs (left and right).

And … my English doesn’t let me understand some things you wrote above. So please try not to use ‘very slang’ words

What is the bit depth and sampling rate set to? You are saving as a wav (at least 16 bit/ 44.1) and not an MP3, right?
Yes you’re right

are you doing anything to edit the sound once it is recorded?
what sound card are you using?
I don’t do anything with the sound.
I tried both Delta Midiman and Waveterminal sound cards.

Sasha, how do you normally listen to the guitar when you like the way it sounds? Headphones, out of the amp's speakers, some other way? If you like how it sounds with the normal amp speakers, then you can't expect the direct outs to sound exactly the same. Does that make sense? In other words, your speakers on the amp will probably sound better than the direct outs.

Are you are recording direct or with groups?

Try this:
Record your guitar with the stereo outputs into tracks one and two. Make sure that you have track one panned left and track two panned right. Add a slight delay (try 10ms) to track two. If this helps at all, experiment with the delay time until it sounds best.

Hope it helps!

I changed some parameters of the Control Panel of my sound card and now I’m getting better sound.
But still there ARE some LITTLE losses.
Actually I can’t call my problem a hardest one ‘cause I can apply Reverb Effects to the recorded tracks and compensate that little loss.

But truly, I wanna know a nature of that drawback for having no problems in my future.
I lightly guess the reason is in Soft I use,
for example I mentioned that Samplitude records better than Sonar 4.
(Different producers > different algorithms)

Hey guys, there is my thought… If I’m recording everything properly and even then able to hear that subtle difference between the unrecorded sound and the sound being gone through the Soft’s internal mechanisms…
So it means that I have very great ears! (that’s a good quality for a sound engineer, isn’t it?) :)

Anyway thanks for your posts. :)

Cheers,
Sasha
