I have a Roland fantom x7 hooked up to my computer thru the USB hook up. I want to record the audio off of it instead of the midi. I use Logic express to record. Please help

Did you look in the manual? Did you set the track up correctly in logic?

The way to do it is to hook up the audio out of the Fantom and connect it to the computer. This is best done with a recording interface. If you don't have one, you can try the line-in of your soundcard, but don't expect a very good sound going in this way.

i dont think you can run audio from the fantom to your cpu via usb. you need a recording interface i.e. mbox (mini, 2, pro). m audio make some pretty cheap ones but the quality isnt as good as say digidesign.
