I have some tracks I have downloaded to my pc and are now in my itunes library. I also have a few sample tracks on Windows media player. How can I move these around? I would like to resize them so I can post them on message boards. Right now, I can't seem to do anything with them and cannot move them or post a link to them.

If you don't own the underlying material (the songs), there's not very much you should do with them. Especially you shouldn't be posting them on message boards.

If it's your own material, that's a different story completely.

I do own them. Some of them are songs and some are samples. So. Now that it is a different story completely, can you help me? I need to convert them from mpeg4 to mp3. Im at a loss as to how to perform that.

The original recordings were on minidisc from a Yamaha MD8. I recorded them onto Musicmatch Jukebox which I have on a pc in my music room. It is not hooked up to the internet. Then I burnt them to CD.

Then I transfered them from cd to my good computer. They went to the Itunes program. I don't know how they became Mpeg4's. I did not do that intentionally. When I attempt to upload to a message board it says the file is either too large or an invalid file type. They play on my computer fine, on all three players(Quick time, mediaplayer, itunes).

Do you still have the CD's you burned? If so, just rip the .wav files from the CD's. I use EAC (http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/).

Or maybe iTunes can rip to a different file type... Is there a setting that you can change?

I do still have some samples on cd. Another few songs are on my itunes program only. I cannot seem to find a setting which gives me a file choice. I'm going to bed.

Thanks for your help!
