Soundcraft 6000 with patchbay.
I've been reading about stereo submixes and thought I'd do this with toms for an upcoming demo. Didn't give it much thought before trying (thinking it would be easy with the mixer's comprehensive patchbay) but on trying it found myself at a loss.
The desk is 24:16:2.
Strips 1 - 16 have sub-buttons 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, etc., up to 16 (16 busses, yep).
3 toms; they're on strips 3, 4 and 5.
I want to create a stereo mix and send them to channels 20/21 on the HD24, but the first 16 channels are allocated to other sources. I guess I should have thought ahead and used tracks 17-24 and left tracks 9-16 open to be allocated for submixes (due to the nature of the desk).
Is there any way around this? The tom channels have individual outs on the patchbay, but where might I patch in three mono sends to create a stereo mix. Tricky?
