We've seen a constant flood of reposts of the same questions. This probably means that it's time to organize this stuff better. There's a FAQ entry that lists a few microphones at particular price points, but information that correlates it with particular applications is lacking. There are some suggestions for some applications, but only a couple of mics per category with no real specifics on when you should choose one or the other, etc.
Thus, I'd like to build up sort of a master meta-FAQ. Instead of providing answers to the questions directly (which results in a giant, unreadable thread), this post will point to threads that contain information on products for a particular use at a particular price point.
I'm not looking for a list of specific microphones here. I'm looking for links to posts that provide the information on particular applications. For example:
Vocal mics under $150

Post links in this thread to your favorite posts on the subject. They can either be about choosing a microphone or they can be reviews on a particular microphone. Links to reviews of specific mics is particularly important for microphones where the part number is so short you can't search for it (e.g. the Behringer B1, almost every Studio Projects mic out there, and so on).
As I see new links posted, I'll take them and add them below this line to this summary post. I'm hoping that if we get enough content here, we can get Dragon to make it a sticky and maybe this question will get asked less frequently.
