how to assign drum tracks to diff channels xp30

Hi how do ya assign a rhythm track to say track 2 3 and 4 etc. in performance mode on a roland xp 30.(I guess this question is general also)I want to assign 4 or 5 instances of the same rhythm track to different channels.I want to assign,say,kick only to channel two,snare to channel three(I will mute all other keys I don't want on that particular channel if possible)so I can use level control when i want to bring up ride cymbal and take it down when I want.tracks will bt driven by another keyboard.I have a latin expansion board and can assign drum patches to the different channels but can't seem to get the rhythm track on any other channel.
