how obvious do you like your FX

Do you like when a guitar effect is really transparent, like you can even name the brand of the pedal being used, or do you like it when things are really twisted and it takes on a more synthy sound, and it could really be anything makeing that noise.

I prefer the latter, but just wondering what other people think, give some examples!!!
 
I think Tom Morello of Audioslave has the latter down path and I love it!

fx

i use verry little fx .... a little gain some times a little wah .... sometimes verry little delay ..... i like my guitar to sound like my guitar :cool:
