How much RAM for DFHS?

How much RAM does it take to trigger a DFHS kit without any extra mic bleed? I have two sticks of 512 and four RAM slots on my motherboard. I'm wondering if two more sticks of 512(2gigs total) would be sufficient.

1 gig will be fine. It takes anywhere between 400mb and 800mb so far as i've used it, and the other mic bleed is automaticly put in when you bounce to disk (which doesn't require any ram).

Strange...I'm using 1 gig now and I still have latency issues. Is there anything else that could be the problem? I'm using Sonar 3 through the discontinued Layla 20 soundcard. Maybey it's something to do with the ASIO config?

CPU: IntelP4 2.4ghz
MOBO: M.S.I. 865 800FSB 512 cache yada yada
1 gig RAM
