Um, after a quick look, I'd say "a shitload!"

That's tens of thousands of dollars worth of stuff there.

I know. I dont really know anywhere else on the net to ask.

Anybody know about the Greg Hanks pre? I cant find much on them...

I googled all the prices but I dont know the real street value becuase most of it isnt on ebay.

Why are you asking, anyway? Are you looking to buy some and want to make them the lowest offer you can?

I just want to buy the gear and be able to get most of my money back in the long run.

From what I see most of this gear really wont go down much in value.

What studio is thi if you don't mind me asking. It is very similar to stuff I this studio by me has!

Ebay is a great gauge of what stuff is going for used. Also, there's prepal.com which are average prices of audio gear sold on Ebay.

I can tell you however, that the Avalon 737 is only worth about 50 bucks. I'll give you 70 for it though.

Okay, Im stretching. I think I spotted one at a thrift store for around 30, but I had no cash and they didn't accept cards. Damn thing had a broken knob anyway.

I got mines for 40.. :D

I'll give you a hundred bucks for the whole shootin' match...

War

I personally would pick and choose off that list, not buy the whole thing.

Are you buying it to use, or simply to resell? I ask because you said you thought you could get your money back on the gear later. That's never a good reason to buy any particular piece of gear. The *only* reason to buy anything is because you need its particular sound or function. Resale value is way down the list of important factors, if you are buying to make music with it.

So again, I'd suggest you figure out what you need off the list and make an offer for only those pieces. In all honesty, most of the list isn't high end. This is what strikes me as the most interesting rack gear on the list:

5) Manley Massive Passive Tube EQ

6) Avalon AD 2055 EQ

7) Avalon AD 2044 Compressor

8) Avalon M5 Preamp

9) Avalon Ultra Five Direct Box

10) Avalon VT 737 Tube Preamp Compressor - EQ

11) Drawmer 1961 Tube EQ

15) Eventide DSP 4000 Ultra Harmonizer

Then you could also decide what mics interest you the most and make an offer for those as well.

Thanks for the ideas. I'm pretty sure he will only sell everything at once. No parting out.

I've noticed some of the gear really isn't that "great" but some of that stuff you have listed and mics sure are!! I have not used most of this stuff personally but I've done alot of research for over the years on gear.

I only reason is to buy the stuff to make music. But I doubt I will ever end up making big money doing it so I would at least like getting most of my money back out of it in the end...when ever that may be.
