As a UMC22 and Audient id14 mk2 owner... I can easily say that Behringer's quality is NOT bad. Actually Behringer welcomes so many people to music production, home recording etc and I really love the brand's philosophy. Behringer is very simple, does not need a software (I can run it even on my cellular phone) preamp quality is pretty good. Controls are easy, there's phantom power, signal clip leds, direct monitoring button, noise to signal ration is very acceptable... BUT, the crackles and pops of Behringer UMC22 are very annoying. I have a very powerful computer (Ryzen 9, 32 Ram, 1 tb NvMe SSD) and even if I change the buffer size, the crackles are almost always there. Now that I switched to the Audient, there is no unwanted sounds in my recordings. (Of course there is a difference. It's almost x2 more expensive) I mean, I'm aware that they are not at the same league.
What I want to emphasize is, the quality of the sound interface creates a difference. Behringer always tend to have a "plasticky" sound character, it's the same around all of their products, whereas Audient's sound is more realistic.
Finally, I want to mention again, Behringer is like a good friend to me. I love that brand and I will keep buying their products and support them.
