I'm a bass player for life:

Rickenbacker 4001
Musicman Stingray
Ibanez Soundgear 5 (fretless)
Ibanez BTB 5 string
Fender Precision
Yamaha AttitudeII (Billy Sheehan)
Warwick Alien Stage acoustic bass
Fender Silver Bullet
BC Rick Warlock New Jersey Edition
Gibson Grabber

You have a nice collection of basses there. A friend of mine had a Grabber and I don't have fond memories of it. I guess I expected more from a Gibson.

I've thought about the Fender electric 12, as well. Ever played one?
my local axe shop has a used one in electric blue. it plays really well, actually--a lot better than i expected. it sounds like you'd expect a 12 string strat to sound. if had had a maple fretboard instead of rosewood, i might've bought it.

cheers,
wade

I now have some pics to go with the posting....:D

Damn,.......I've only have two:( an alvarez rd-20sc and a Fender Stratocaster(mim). Oh wait a minute, I forgot about my old Epiphone FT-20:o that makes three, does that get any respect even though I can hardly play any of them?

Welp,

I've decided to forgo the glamour of a Taylor or Martin 12 string, and get a Seagull S12. I tried one out today, must've played it for an hour and a half. It certainly wasn't perfect, soundwise, a little thin on the bass strings, but I think that's just the strings. The intonation was great, the set-up almost perfect. It had a soft, shimmery cedar sound that went from very soft to room-filling.

I'll probably go pick it up tomorrow....

Which will make 11.....

And 4 since June....:D

I need help......:p

EDIT: And here is number 11. I've decided to call her 'Gertrude,' inspired by Red Skelton's schtick 'Two Seagulls, Gertrude and Heathcliff!' Well, here's one of the Seagulls....

I am not going to have 11 for long, though. I've now got 3 guitars to put on the block.

This has to be one of those 'best-bang-for-the-buck' pieces of gear. Not a Taylor or a Martin, but, still, a nice guitar from my home province!

Have I mentioned that I have the most wonderful, visionary wife that a man could want? :D

i have one i've owned for about 12 years now and i love it. i saw a 12 string like yours in a music store the other day and instantly started drooling.

Missing from this pic is an Ibanez Blazer, an Ibanez Roadster II Series and an Aria Pro II. A total of 12 children!

I've got six. :p

1981 Les Paul Standard
1991 Les Paul Standard
1996 Peavey Wolfgang Standard
1986 San Dimas Charvel
1992 Homemade "Telestrat"
2006 Hiway 1 Stratocaster

Amps are a JMP 50-watt half-stack, a JCM800 2x12 50w combo, and a Deluxe Reverb reissue. Tonal diversity. Live I've been A/Bing the Marshall combo and the Deluxe. Effects are a TubeScreamer, an old Boss chorus, and a Boss digital delay. Life is good! :D

Testing the IMG function! Nope not working here!

Ok, that's working, but just putting a pic in the img brackets doesn't work for me. Is it that the picture is too large?

i'm gonna have a big sale soon when i have to move, it's gonna suck, but making negative $$ on this stupid music quest is gonna end on a flat note. they were nice to have but will have to say good bye to all the old friends one sad day, ouch.
