I have a 65 twin reverb and a vox pathfinder. I want to have a more diverse arsenal of amps that I can play loudly enough with drums so I was considering buying a vox cabinet to run the pathfinder through. Since the amp is only 15 watts, how much louder will I be with 2x12 cabinet? How is the signal from the amp dispersed to the cabinet?

It would probably still be a quite a bit louder with more speakers. What kind of speaker is in it by default? A single 12 or 10 or something?

Keep in mind that a few watts through an efficient speaker is still pretty loud - where you get more advantages to bigger amps is that you have more headroom, even though you dont use all of it on average... the peaks can get up there without running out of power.

I've read that it takes about 10X the power delivered to a speaker to double the apparent volume.... but more speakers will move more air, and have a much more noticeable difference.

Not sure quite what you mean about the signal from the amp being dispersed to the cabinet.

Thanks for the response. What I meant by signal dispersion was if I have a 15w amp and a 2x12 cabinet, do 7.5w get applied to each speaker for a total of 15w? I may be way off here...
