Folks,
I like to know how everyone has their POD PROs connected to their systems. I primarily use the POD through my homerecording system. Now I have moved to a house and got more room for something noisier. I am looking to get an amp. I still like to keep the POD pro and connect it to the amp.

Any ideas suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

I run a pod pro through the mic cables, I then run it into the tube side of my presonus firestation...My brother has the pod 2, and I run that into the presonus as well. Like the sound a lot.

Ayyone else? I am trying to get some suggestions.

terrible_buddhi so how is your speakers connected? I am not familiar with the firstation. Thanks

I am sorry, I think I misunderstood the question the first time...for when I play live I have a marshall 50 watt amp (plenty loud enough for 98% of all situations and not as heavy and cumbersome as stacks) I go from the POD Pro to the return section in the back of the amp so as to bypass the marshalls preamp allthogether.

The POD Pro I use when I'm out playing (it's borrowed) is going thru a 5 band (cheap behringer) param-eq in the "pre-loop" and a 2x31 graphic eq in the "post-loop". Straight into the P.A. Sounds killer. Sometimes I might throw in a BBE Sonic Maximizer, but not always...

If you're looking for some amplification for your Pod, try to take a look at these :
- Behringer B300 (Active P.A. Speakers. Sounds killer with the pod)
- Behringer kx1200 (Keyboard amp. Sounds great)
- JBL EON 15 G2 (Not sure about the model name, but active P.A. speakers that sounds totally awesome. If money isn't an issue, two of these is by far the best sounding rig you can buy, but honestly, the Behringer B300's comes close at under half the price)
- Roland Keyboard-amps. These sound great too.

All of the above will give you a very transparant sound. Not everyone likes that, but then it gets tricky to get you advice. If you're looking for a "colouring" amp, take a look at Mesa 2:90 (or whatever it's called) into a 4x12 Mesa cab. Sounds killer, but it may not be the sound YOU are looking for. Plenty of choices in this area (Marshall, Peaveay, Rocktron, etc.etc.), and nothing else to say, but : Try everything you can.

Dime...

I take the left (mono) out from the Pod Pro to the line in of a Carver PM125 power amp bridged to 8 ohms mono, then to a Marshall cab, then mic the cab front and rear, one mic phase reversed. Or-

The line out of the POD to the line in on an active near field monitor, and mic the monitor, OR-

S/PDIF straight to the recorder- when I want to be quiet.-Richie

Thanks guys. I tried connecting the line6 'out' to the active M-aduio monitors I have. It did not sound good at all.

I will keep checking. Perhaps the PA.

the PA is a great way to do it, in fact I have been getting the guys to run into the PA for practice to get a better mix of sound...you can hear car wrecks better that way. Now if only the drummer would turn down :(

I use:

POD Pro->Behringer Mixer->MosValve Power Amp->dual 2x12 slant cabinets.

Pod Pro (S/PDIF) into a switching box (75ohm connection) to an M-audio CO2, to Korg D1200 USB to PC into SONAR then Wavelab.
