i just stereo micd my amp with 2 mxl991's, sdcs. (i don't have a dynamic that doesn't sound like buzzing bees on distorted guitar)

i noodled around on my epiphone sheraton (that's a guitar), through my peavey delta blues (that's an amp). 30 watt tube(what kind of amp). i used the middle pickup (a pickup is on a guitar. its the transducer to electrical signal). not too bright not too dark (describing the tone). i like it

that goes to an oooold 1979 peavey 16 channel (a mixer, consisting of 16 channels), panned slightly then going to my computer(what i did to the 2 sdc's)

some very slight eq'ing to kill a bit of the brightness and then highten a slight bit, but nothing crazy (minimal amount of tone changing after recorded). it came as a stereo track, i copied the track and hard panned left and right (i recorded in stereo). so its a strange mix of left and right in both speakers doing separate things

here's what i came up with...

i play rhythm clean and dirty (dirty =distorted guitar, clean is w/o). but i hadn't warmed up with lead...i'm just looking at tone here(don't crit my playing cuz i haven't warmed up aka "played much this day").

please critique it instead of being an obvious troll. (chessrock)

Is there a question -- or perhaps an actual point -- buried somewhere in that post? ? ?

Oh, I see. You editied your post and asked for "a critique" this time.

At least we're making some progress.

i think its pretty good (the guitar) i like the tube sound (from the amp's tubes) i also think that the beginning riff (rhythmic sequence of chords and/or notes) could make a sweet intro to a song (a musical composition)

overall, it sounds good to me (guiar)... but maybe just a bit too much distortion (distortion = not clean) for my taste, but thats just my opinion (a personal belief or judgment that is not founded on proof or certainty) :p

The playing is cool and clean as is the overall recording (It's better than i could do), but for my taste (And please don't take this the wrong way) it's:

1."Annoyingly bright"-I couldn't take that tone for 3 minutes.
2.A bit too ambient-Slight, yet distracting traces of the room are evident.

I don't have the skill-set to say "Cut this frequency" or "Add that one", but instinct for personal taste says add just a bit of distortion "Buzz"
and be it via mic or amp placement, absorb a bit more of the room.

Overall not bad, just not for me.
