How does this track sit with you? Mix...song...vocals....

I like the song. It's played tightly, the guitars sound great, and the mix in general sounds pretty good! The vocals are hit and miss. Some parts are spot on and other parts are a little pitchy and just not quite there. But hey, I'm not perfect, either. There's nothing about this song that I absolutely hated, though. Keep it up!

i listened to this when you first posted it n been back in the thread a few times ..

there's just one thing that really annoys the hell outta me .. im sure ive heard it before (parts at least) and your voice is so close to the other band,almost identical ... musta been your influence ... who the hell is it ??? (will bug me forever this) ... i know im doing the comparison thing (and i shouldn't really) but when i turn off those comparison ears and listen to it on its own merit it truly does kick arse,i fecking love it :D
 
mix is very good - very, very good, everything seems to sit well in mix apart from perhaps a couple of vocal lines which jump out a little too much but nothing bad!

love the guitars at the intro, good song overall not the music I listen to but its really well done and chorus is quite catchy!
 
Wow! The opening really hits you, nice work!! I would agree with jamintravis that some vox are a little "off", probably not noticeable enough to make a big deal about it though. The reach out buildup is pretty nice

I am annoyed by the exact same thing. The voice is so close to something I heard a few years back.

Anyway this song is amazing. The recording is spot on and the composition is flawless. I did not hear anything that needs adjustment in the mix, and as opposed to others in this thread I thought the vocals were as tight as they should be. It needs to sound organic and it does. Great work!
 
There are a few pitchy parts in the vox (on some high notes and transitions), could probably fix it with some minor pitch correction or just overdub those parts.
Overall mix sounds pretty decent. Sounds a little over produced musically but that's probably just my taste in music.
 
If I was to say anything I would recommend turning down vocal volume a hair in the beginning, not too much just a little, and also pan the vocals out just a touch both left and right....keep the chorus the same for that nice punch and buildup. Everything else sounds great! I love the clarity and how on time everything is, also the snare sounds great.
 
It sounds pretty good to me man, really good in fact.

Great vocals. And the drums are killer. Good job, really.

And the production was dynamite, "Stop me!"
 
The mixing sounds great to me. In a few spots the vocals were a little off and sometimes I felt they had a little too much reverb. However the reverb sounded good through 90% of the song. I thought it was mixed really well.
 
Bass guitar is a bit muddy on some notes the D sounds great though, cut it at around 50hz and boost it at around 80hz or vice versa, and do the opposite to the kick drum.

The Kick and Snare are lacking punchiness (A very slight boost between 100-200hz should fix that)

Vocals sit well, guitars sound good!


EDIT: Just listened to V4, and the Kick and Bass seem to sit better than before for some reason, I don't know if you changed anything or not, but I'd still add a tad of 100hz to the snare!
