why only one...they're so cheap
paddyponchero said:Hi Alan,
I've been googling for JM27PAC since you mentioned it in another post, do you know any suppliers this side of the pond who have it yet? Preferably not in the UK - most suppliers in the uk want £30 to post to ireland, I got my drum kit from germany for about £18 postage. £129 + £30 = €230 ouch!
Thanks,
Paddy

distortedrumble said:I'm starting to get partial to Studio Projects stuff due to the fact that i can actually talk to the people from the company...makes ya feel a little bit more confident in whatever you buy from them...but then again....it is the internet.
That's not true... Harvey Gerst and Brent Casey both stated that Marshall Electronics was making modifications back then... do a search, it's all documented here on this bbs... check it out, you even got in a verbal fight over it. Of course that's not going to happen again now that Brent works for you instead of Marshall and Harvey is your friend... but, I must admit... that was a good way to kill the opposition... almost as good as when you'd delete the opposition from the old PMI Audio forum. Are you/PMI ever going to get your own forum again, or do you just plan on using this bbs to pimp your PMI Audio gear?alanhyatt said:When SP started, no other US microphone company was doing modifications to the Chinese mics.
lol... one of PMI's job duties is to pimp gear here on this bbs.paddyponchero said:They're not real people it's just a bunch of scripts parsing the board for keywords like 'studio projects', 'PMI Audio', 'B1' then one of the bots randomly generates a reply. How else would they have the time to run a company and reply to posts here![]()
Yeah, your the head salesman for PMI Audio, Studio Projects, Joe Meek and etc.alanhyatt said:Well, there is a new set of mikes in this arena to start considering. The Joemeek JM27PAC. A matched pair of JM27 SD's, heavy duty shock mounts that are all metal, and a Stereo T-Bar, all in a plastic carry case.
Here is what they look like set up with the T-Bar. The case is not shown JM27PAC Photo
About $199.00 here is the US, 169.00 EURO, and £120.00 Inc VAT.
Of course you all know who I am so take what I say with a grain of salt, but I have used them, and from a personal opinion, they are very good.
alanhyatt said:Waltons is our distributor in Ireland. They have not ordered them yet, but you could ask them to get it for you. These just got into the warehouse, so they will just now be shipping to dealers.
So no one yet in Germany has ordered, but they soon will now that they know we have them. e-mail Martin at mh@musik-service.de He is at Musik Service in Germany. He can also get them, or Digital Audio Service in Germany at t.roemann@digitalaudioservice.de
They can help you..... Tell them you are looking to get the new JM27PAC.
And who are you?DJL said:Yeah, your the head salesman for PMI Audio, Studio Projects, Joe Meek and etc.

Oops... oh well, your right.crazydoc said:And who are you?
(And BTW, you keep typing "your" when you mean "you're" - please correct this in the future - it's a sign of a substandard education.)

alanhyatt said:The Marshall mic is an "off the shelf" 797 design and branded under the Marshall name. The exact same design is also branded under several different brands like ADK, Nady, Joemeek, Audix, and some other brands. With few differences, they are all the same mic sold by 797 Audio and Soundking.
Harvey Gerst said:Let me clarify this a little bit. According to Brent Casey at Marshall, the V67 IS basically a standard 797 model, but Brent made some significant changes; mainly specing a new output transformer that eliminates a ringing problem in the standard model, and which also provides smoother response. He also changed out the JFETS and some other components to lower the noise level significantly from the standard model.
