By Hand..

I made my Avatar by hand....
When you go to your control panel, you can specify a location on the net where you keep your avatar and it will show it when you make posts...

As for Rep Power , If someone likes or agrees with what you say they can select the "scale" in the upper right hand corner of your message which allows a person to state whether they agree or disagree with what you're saying in your post... As you continue here, your rep power will improve as people respect your input and what you say...
