Dear Mr. Fingaz...
I got you now about the band. And for the record, I didn't at all say the design looked tired, I said "The tricky thing with the Armageddon thing you did is trying to find a way to make such a tired, cliched word (or phrase, or whatever) look not so tired, cliched, etc... "
The key thing is the
word "armageddon" can easily be considered cliched (when pertaining to music, art, etc). I think I said your gfx was "nice work."
Sure I'd love to see some more "serious" stuff (not sure what serious means in this context, but ok...). I'll dig around for some shit and email it to you - i'd love to talk shop, the only thing I love more than design is video post & fx and music, of course.
That's great you've learned to use lots of software, I learned years ago that the best artists (or at least the most adept) are able to use whatever tools best fit the job (learned that shit real quick-like in the 3-d animation game). In fact, I use Deneba's Canvas for a lot of shit just cuz it's such a thorough swiss-army knife piece of software.
I'll PM you with my email address, and if you do the same, then we can break bread and shit. I'll include links to several websites I've designed and a few I've coded and designed & mix it up from the smaller, more lattitudinally creative stuff to the more personally restrictive commercial stuff. I'll check out that link you posted, too...
BTW - we can bang graphic swords whenever you want to.
All things being reasonably equal, you may be really dope, able to hold your own. That's phat. For real. So can I. That's the beauty of things, duke, we can all be ill... Well, ok, not
all of us, but enough of us
I've been photoshopping (amongst other things) since version 2-point-something back in the latest of the 80s or early 90 or some shit. In fact, I still use PS3 quite a bit on an older machine I have. I even remember the first html editors (back when it was still easier to longhand everything). Damn, I was a baby back then...
until then, grip...
One,
F.D.
