How do I "install" my mic?

Yes, that's where it's found. I believe it's generally blue-colored on newer computers, but that may not be definite. But I can't stress enough how much better your recordings will be with a nicer soundcard; not something for right now, but I would certainly consider that as my next upgrade if I were you.

Yeah, a better soundcard would be good, obviously. However, this soundcard is good for video editing (apparently) which is done a lot on this computer. But, I'll deffinitely be upgrading, just not yet.

The soundcard isn't important for video editing, however, if you are using MIDI or Soundfonts in your vid projects you will need the features on your Creative card that you won't have on an M-Audio Delta card. Luckily there is the M-Audio Audiophile which does have MIDI on board ... or, better still, get a Delta and keep your current card in too. Best of both worlds!
