How do i hook this mixer up to a computer?

The firepod has two firewire ports for a couple of things:

1. One will need to go to your computer.

2. You can use the other firewire port for an external hard drive or to daisy chain another firepod (giving you 16 inputs)

sorry for all the stupid questions, i looked on presonus website and found the Manuel. My only other question is, I saw the first 2 mic inputs are "Instrument" inputs, do these connect via 1/4 normal instrument cord? like one you would plug into your amp?

Yeah, regular 1/4" plugs. They look like Neutrik connectors which have both XLR and 1/4" jacks in one connector. Same thing for the channels that double as Line In.
