how can i fix this sm58(picture)

Yes there is a screw. You can see it in the picture. There should be a hole in the mic body that it lines up with, it goes through to the outside of the mic.
The trick is that the screw is threaded in reverse. Turning it clockwise makes it back out of the connector. So to get it to hold the connector in the mic, you have to turn it the opposite way you would think.
A small screwdriver like from a eyeglass repair kit works great, or you can get a set at Radio Shack or something.
 
this screw definately isnt moving either way... any ideas?

Most likely you busted the thread. Just take another XLR insert, solder the wires exactly the way as originals, and don't put much pressure on the damn screw.
 
you mean get a replacement for the part thats broken? how can i get something like that?
 
You can find this insert in any 3 pin XLR cable end male connector.
