It sounds like you guys had a fair amount of fun making this. The production/mix on this is o.k., considering it's all MIDI. I'm not too sure about some of the drum sounds. The hat is annoying, as are the hard-panned crashes. The lead vocal part is overly sibilant. The second vocal is off pitch. The lyrics are very average.
I think gambling songs, by law, have to be more country sounding. If you had some teles and a pedal steel in there, you might be able to pull it off. As is, it's just a mildly amusing throwaway.
Hey, this is cool. The vocal is a bit Pasted sounding, the edits are not good or smooth. You have to decide what you are gonna feature vocally and mix to a plan. It sounds like you are just popping up here and there trying to sound like a chorus of you. First off, the different parts need a different singing approach and THEN they need to be mixed accordingly.
The rest is small fries compared to that, I would start there.
You know, my dirty mind didn't connect this thread title with gambling at all....
But, on to the song:
Good idea, bad execution.... I really can't add to what was said, because I can't hear too much past the pitchy vocals.... and well, read my signature...
thanks for the comments. I admit this was recorded kind of hastily and for fun...just thought i'd throw it out there to see what people had to say. I did most of the singing and the guy i had do the other parts really has no music background (needed a lot of coaching/autotune just to get it to the point where it is). I'll probably go work on something a little more seriously and come back to you guys. I just wish i had more room in my apartment for real drums etc.... i'm getting sick of that all-keyboard sound on all of my stuff....although i'm sure the neighbors like it better this way. thanks again
