Hot New Affiliate Beat!!! Mellow Piano w/ Guitar Joint!

For the most part this is a really tight track. Love the bass and piano lines. The guitar (I think it's a guitar) playing the arpeggiated 1/8th note pattern sounds like shit though. The pattern is cool, but the sound is very chessy and detracts from the beat. I hear this as more of an R-n-B song than a rap track. Nice intro.

Pretty good. Definitely R&B. the guitar isn't too bad, maybe a lil reverb and put it down some so it wont stick out so much, keep in mind i dont have monitors (until Friday,they're being shipped as of 10/23/02 6:40pm EST...can't wait) good work though

i agree, this is a good tune, but i think it can go either way rap or r&b.

i also agree about the 'guitar' sound which sounds more like a staccato electric piano than a guitar.

maybe try changing it to a pizzicato string or get a real guitar on it. it definitely has its place in the song structure and something would be missing without it, so you don't want to bury it in the mix. you want to make it sound better.
 
i don't think any one thing sticks out to much. The piano really keeps it from being to loopy sounding, and the loopy parts give it a nice crutch.
