Hookup mixer to Tascam 3340?

Very much a newbie to analog reel to reel tape recorders. . . and was wondering if someone can explain in detail how to hookup a mixer to a Tascam 4, or 8 track reel to reel with rca input plugs??

. . .including what outputs, and inputs, and what types of cables you would use.

(The type of mixer hasn't been determined yet,..but most likely something like a Mackie 1402 VLZ) But, I would just like the basics to give me an idea of what I will need and the best way to hook it up.
