Hooking up speakers to 488

Which outs do I use when pluggin my monitors into my 488? Im guessing i have to plug them into the group outs, but that just dosnt seem right. And when I use the phone jack, pan does not work. Please help. Thanks =]

I have a brochure on the 488 and it documents the buss outs 1 & 2 as being the same as the main stereo outs so, you would hook up your amp and speakers to those jacks.

As for the pan controls, once you assign the taped tracks to this 1/2 buss on playback, the pan controls should work.

If you are monitoring the cue output, this might explain why you only hear mono. Select the group output in the master section and that should solve your dilemma.
