hooking up mixer with pc soundcard

hey how you doing..sorry im new with this i just got a serato sl1 and a pioneer djm 707 mixer. im having a problem. i went and bought the cable to connect from the mixer directly to the pc soundcard i get the sound of the music but its a very bad sound like an old radio or something i dont know if I have to change the settings or something.. or if someone could show me step by step of how to do it..

only sl-1 related to serato is rane sl-1. you will find connecting guide over their website:

(so you dont need any cable that goes into your soundcard, you will need only usb cable)

What type of cable are you using, and which jacks is it connected to on the mixer and soundcard?
