i have a mic/guitar/pre-amp/proc. and i have a hp pavilion521n

Do you have multitrack software? Like Cakewalk, Cubase, N-Track, T-Star, Multiquence? And a wave editor, like Sound Forge, Wavelab, Asia? You'll need them (and be sure to read the manuals).

What you do depends on what you have for software etc. They're all a little different. And I *really* wasn't kidding about all the reading you'll need to do!
