I'm maybe thinking about getting one, but I'm not quite ready to commit to such a big investment at this point in my like with my financial situation and all.

Featuring drstawl, dobro, sluice, and 37 more

OK who else? Is there an artist/song list available? I certainly don't want to listen to three discs of Father Time tracks!

Is this actually GOOD music that will warrant repeated listens, or merely a bunch of hacks with 4 track portastudios and a ploy to fund raise for homerec? I mean I like dog's towel and sluicey fruit's stuff! Can't say that I've heard a dobro song. Oh wait, I do remember a pretty cool "Beatley" song going back a way. So is this their good stuff, or just stuff they know they'llnever use so they can throw out the copyright?

Has this recording received any press? Any reviews in online fanzines?

And why didn't slack ever ask ME to do something this!?

The latter being the more likely effect.

I wanna place my vote for the best song on the Comp CD.

I'd have to say that RWhite's "We Got Married" is the best tune on there. :p

After laughing hysterically for a good while, I played it for my wife...

oddly enough, she didn't find it as funny as I did.

:p

Okay, I got my copy of the hrcomp cd, and listened to disk one. Sm2k cleverly arranged the songs on it so that his song, the one about the ants, sounds absolutely amazing, the best song on the disk. I played the disk at a party, and it was obvious. What a cunning ploy. First he assembles a diskfull of good music and then he has the audacity to plop his own kickass tune smack dab in the middle of it! What an awesome effect. The man's ruthless...

Haha yeah right...I was trying to push ed into making it the last song on a disk, but instead he sticks me in the middle of two long jams (both awesome of course)!

Hey I've got an idea. What if we did a compilation album of artists from Home Recording.com? Not only would it raise money for this terrific website, it would be a great way to hear all kinds of talent from all around the world all on one set of CD's. Oh, if only it were possible...
