Hey guys, I'm thinking about building an absorvative panel made of:
1 layer of perforated MDF panel (the last layer)
1 layer of glasswool (is this how you call it?) 2" thick, 30Kg/m3
1 layer of fabric.

I'll build it like, let's say, a pillow, if you know what I mean :)!

Do you guys think it'll work ok for the mids/highs? What about the lows?

I'll hang the panel a few inches away from the brick wall.

Thanks for any comments!

Hello again ausrock!
I've been looking at those posts... my biggest doubt is about the frame thing. All those units have been built with real frames, and I'll try not to do this, I just want to place the fiberglass over the MDF and cover them with fabric... I wish I had photoshop or illustrator here w/ me now :)!

Jeronimo - what you are proposing is a standard wall panel from the 70's except that we used fibreboard (you know the stuff with a white side that you put on walls to post notices)

I used it in the original Music Farm In the first photo you can see it above the tape recorder, (green felt at 45 degrees)

cheers
john
