Can anyone please post here with there home setups + mp3s of there work...

i have

Mics > Multicore > Preamp/Mixer > Rack Gear > Delta 1010 > Monitoring System..

But the only part i havent bought yet is the mixer / preamp because i need at least 8 channels with direct outs and stuck between different 8 channel preamps and mixers...

Thanks

what pres did you use for drums as you might know im very stuck?

Here's my set-up (which I'm quite happy with at the moment):

Interface: Presonus Firepod (use the firepod for mic pre's, too)
Mic's: Matched pair of MXL 603s's, Studio Projects C1, sm57
Guitars: SRV Custom Strat (borrowing), Takamine FD-360sc, Yamaha Bass
Amplification: Original POD
Drums: I use loops from Drums on Demand. Don't know a drummer, and I don't have the mic's to record them.
Monitors: Event ps5's (cheap, but they do the trick for now)
Computer: AMD Athlon XP 2400, 512MB ram
Software: Cubase, other plugs - don't really use plug-ins that much - I like to go for the natural sound of things.

I've also got an M-Audio Radium 61 that I use for midi stuff

Here's a link to some mp3's: http://www.feelslikefridaymusic.com/The Music.htm The song "Something Better" is the only one recorded with the current gear. I just upgraded to the firepod from a delta 44, so the other songs were recorded through a delta 44 with a dmp3 for pre's. I think the difference between the delta and the firepod is amazing - see for yourself.

If that link doesn't work, try my soundclick page: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/2/feelslikefridaymusic.htm.

The overheads are a pair of Earthworks SR-71's into an HHB Radius 10. The rack toms are AKG C-1000 into the Radius 10 and the floor tom, an AKG C-3000 into the Radius 10. The snare is an AKG C-1000 to an Envoice Mindprint. Inside the kick is an AKG D-112 to console preamp (Tascam M-3500) and front of the kick is a Groove Tubes AM-52 in figure 8 to a console preamp as well.

Good Stuff

Trackrat and BJW, I checked out your music. First reactions are that your songs are well written and i like the changes. I'm currently listening through PC speakers so i want to hear them through my Wharefdales before I comment on the recording aspects. I'll holla. My current project studio setup is: Instuments:
1987-Sigma DM-ACV, 1984-Ibanez Proline, 1980-Fender Bullit, 1982-Hondo Warlock, 2004-Carlo Robelli CW4103FCS, 2003-Washburn XB102 Bass, 2003-Fender FM53S Mandolin,and Yamaha X100 and DGX500 Keyboards.
Recording: Crate and Roland Amps, AKG, Shure, and MLX mics, Behringer Ultragain Pro preamps,Yamaha MM1402 Mixer, Zoom 1266 Digital Recorder, Wharefdale 8.2 and Edirol monitors.
I have a few songs posted at:

Thanks for the compliments Honedawg. I'm curious to see what you think of the recording after you listening to it through a better monitoring system. My room and my monitors are definately my weakest link (especially the room, both to monitor and record in), so I'm thinking I'm suffering from not being able to hear it accurately enough.
