The problem with the freebie Express version is its full of techno hits and no soundfont player either. I don't know why Cakewalk persist with rolling out this Dance/Hip hop orientated package, they need to broaden its capabilities to appeal to a broader market. I think they lose market share as a result.

But you get it free with HS, so it's a pretty good deal. What you are paying for is HS, you just get FL Express for free...

Moskus, I've gone all grown up about free software now. I'm sick of using half arsed s/w that doesn't quite meet the bill. My DAW is littered with the remains of such programs. My aim is fewer but better.

No, not particularly. I didn't hear of B4 before you posted so I had to look it up. I've never felt the need for having that capability.
But I would be chuffed to buggery if I had Battery as long as it wasn't disabled somehow. I guess I'm just sick of installing software only to be disapointed with what it can't do. It's only cos I persevered with FLoops and got the s/font player that I stuck with it and then bought some of their retail packs to give me some natural sounding drums. Not that I use it much because I really want to open it in Sonar and as of yet the fxpansion wrapper is too buggy for my likes and isn't fully integrated yet.
My New Years resolution was to only put on my DAW that software that I really want. Like kontakt.
