Home studio question

I am setting up a simple home studio. It will be used for freestyle jamming with sessions recorded to form original songwriting. So far I have the following equipment: guitar, bass and keyboard amps, instruments and drums; two SMS "58" style mics and a Pyle Pro 6 ch mixer. I am using Audacity software on a PC laptop. All the artists were at one time (60s & 70s) playing covers in clubs. Our goal is to play some originals and covers locally. The problem is the studio setup. I had an idea of getting a wireless earpiece / mic setup for vocals & monitoring and area mics for the instruments. My hope is the dual use for recording and playing out with the same equipment. We will tackle the PA when we are ready to go out.
Thoughts?
Equipment suggestions or experiences?

More microphones and a interface to your computer.

if you're just using it to capture a jam, use one of these.

That is great advise EZ!!! after I thought about it for a while earlier I thought ...man who is going to set this all up for practice then tear it all down for gigging then over and over ~ NOT ME

I guess I was asking if the wireless earpiece/mic set up would be an alternative to wired headset earmuff / stage mic when in studio. Trying to save whats left of our hearing.
