so basically its just some beats with some sort of melody/catchy riff on the keyboard??

i'd call it a crude form of techno/electronica!
(which i love and create to the best of my ability)

but i would definitley look into the singing/rapping thing, into a decent condenser mic, and a decent pre amp.

if you learn how to sing well enough, you might not need auto tune, especially with hip hop, i mean come on, how many musical "notes" are you actually singing?

and yes you should just learn to suck it up and deal with the criticism on this forum because as long as you don't come off as cocky, or stupid, or whatever, the guys and girls here (idk..) are really useful and have a lot of knowledge.
