hey everybody...im looking into buying my studio and i was wondering what i need? i have no idea what to get soo help would be much appreciated. my budget is going to be $2500(excluding computers)...what could i get for that?

well i will be mostly making music with midi...and guitars. im building this to use for myself but also produce others. making mostly jazz, funk, and hip hop.

also what mixer should i get? i heard the behringer consoles arent to terrible for begginers or i was thinking of getting a alesis multimix firewire 16.

a decent condenser microphone, i like the rode ntk
a shure sm57 or two
maybe a pair of small diaphragm condensers such as the msh10 or oktava mk-012
as good a preamp as you can afford
as good a pair of monitors as you can afford

if you search the forum for preamps and monitors you will find info on whats good in ur price range
