Home Studio and US-224

I am purchasing a US-224 on ebay and was looking at software to go with it other than the apparently crappy bundled Cubasis. How well would Home Studio Work? If anybody wants to give a new guy some insight it would be greatly appreciated.

It would be good if you mentioned what exactly do you want to do. I mean, something like what feature do you expect, do you need extra plugins, how do you work, etc.

Two tracks at a time

The main thing I'm looking for that the bundled Cubasis doesn't have is the ability to record two channels onto two tracks simultaneously. I'm new to this so I don't need anything extra fancy, like lots of plug-ins, yet. My main concerns are compatibilty with the 224 and the two track recording.

Yes

I am sure of this b/c I've downloaded the 224 manual and have talked to people on the Tascam Forum. I know that Home Studio has the ability to record two simultaneous tracks so I am wondering if that software is compatible with my unit.
