I have a home computer. What else do I need to do home recording. What would be the best equipment to get?

Well, lets see here.....
at a bare minimuim, you will need
1 24 track SSL J series mixer,
2 Genelec Speakers (the nicest set you can afford...cause monitoring is important!!)
a couple of nice Nueman mics.....
naw...just kidding. Post in the newbie section, do some searches, look around, buy some books....you find it all documented somewhere.
To give you a head start: a couple of mics, a decent soundcard, some monitors (speakers), a recording program (sonar, cool edit, cubase...).
That should get you started.
warning though...this shit gets expenisive and addictive. (the more addicted, the more expenive I find..like any gear junkie will find I geuss...)
