Does anybody have any advice regarding recording on my Fostex VF08 and bringing it to the studio to master and record more detailed tracks. Essentially, I want to save studio time and record the basic tracks at home and then bring it to the studio to record vocals and master. Is this doable? What can I do to impement this?

i just found out today...

Perhaps you can save your tracks as data files, then download them to the system in the studio, but I've also heard this might not be easy, since many brands use their "own" system that others can't read. Perhaps instead you can download each track as a separate WAV file... Then each track can be individually incorporated into the studio system. I don't know about the VF08 (it is the precursor to the VF80) specifically, but a lot of what I've mentioned applies across the board.

Perhaps check with the studio you plan to use and see what they recommend. Others on this board will know more tham me on this for sure. There's got to be a way.

Record your tracks on your unit, then bring your unit into the studio... they'll extract the tracks from your machine and you can then continue...........!
