Well, mix CD, but you get point. Someone at work asked me what kind of music I listen to, and I told them that I like music that is self produced for the most part. My co-worker didn't seem to understand and responded by saying "where do you find it?", which is a fair enough question. I had to explain that home recording has come a long way and people can put their music out themselves, which includes posting what the make online, or if they are successful enough at it, having a record label who puts it out. Long story long, I told them I would make them a mix CD of some more notable home recorders. Any suggestions? I have Sleeping States, who I'm not 100% that they produce him/themselves, but it sounds like it, and Sufjan Stevens, who I read about in Tape Op and seems to have a a reputation for producing his on records. Does anyone know if Black Rebel Motorcycle Club records themselves for the most part? That's the impression I'm under for some reason. Some other ideas I had are Wooden Shijps (which might be a little to harsh for them), Thee More Shallows, DNTEL. Does Beck count? Any others ya'll can suggest would be great. Thanks!

Nip down to here and see what you think of the vital selection.......

Gordon Bennett ! I don't know how that happened. Where's my deja vu meter ?

Buy my CD. It's in my sig. Every cent of your money will go to charity, and the entire project was written, performed, produced and mastered by me and me only in my home "studio".

I've got an entire album available for download, and links to three tracks from our most recent album available at in my sig.

Thanks Everyone!

I'm going to round your songs up and I'll let you know what I come up with.
