Hey guys..

Im sure this question has been asked a thousand times, but I cant get the right answer.. so sorry in advance.

My friend plays the piano very well, but cant read notes. He has written some excellent pieces and wants to write them down. I figured that the best way to do it would be connecting his keyboard to the computer and playing his piece while a software is recording and writing down the notes in real time.

My question to you guys is: What software would you recommend? The less inexpensive the better .. :-)

thank you..

Sibelius 2. There ya go! Capella maybe? Just need to set up the MIDI interface and youre golden. As long as he can play it perfectly by metronome, you should get a music score straight out of that.

check out powertracks at pgmusic.com 29 bucks.
lots of notation features/recording midi tracks plus 48 track audio recording.
great forum as well.
and hitsquad.com has free midi sequencers he might want to check out as well.
