Returned from the dead
The guitar here sounds kinda... Hollow... for lack of a better word. http://www.mediafire.com/?5iax49xed0q2dq2

*ignore the hiss in the track*

I tried reversing the phase but that didn't help... Does anyone have any idea what may be causing the "hollowness"?

Yeah that sounds terrible. It sounds like the mic is on the edge of the speaker cone. If that's the case, get it closer to the middle.

In addition to the bit of hollowness, there is a boomy low frequency. Maybe somewhere around 120hz or so.

As Greg said, if your mic is mic is not on the center of the speaker move it closer. Otherwise, there could be some low mid frequencies gumming things up. Dial in different amp and guitar settings and pay attention to the low midrange.

The boominess is a result of the weird resonant frequency of this guitar I'm using....

G'day KOP,
Is this mic'd, DI'd?
Sounds like it is boomy and missing the middle frequencies like it's been scooped or somthing by EQ.
Have you tried boosting the Presence range?
