I felt that it was my RESPONSIBILITY to keep it alive!! Just to show the new people on the forum what happens if you stay too long in the bizz and/or on this forum. Think we always acted like this? -insert hysterical laugh here- -one more here- -and one more here-

Armadillo on the half shell

1) shoot the armadillo
2) shell/skin the armadillo
3) fry the armadillo like chicken
4) serves about 6

I'm confused

"3) fry the armadillo like chicken"

How exactly does a chicken fry an armadillo?

You're all confused.
#3=, should have been -> armadillo-like chicken. These are the decendents of a chicken who got lost as a puppy and imprinted on armadillo. Their decendents spread and are also known as the chicken knights, as they wore full body protection.
The confusion set in with Heinz made them into spread, and then you couldn't see the difference anymore. The spread didn't sell well, because of the shell, so some people got confused and thought it was crap. Their income dwindled and they went into hiding and that is why you don't see them often anymore

Very useful information coming down this thread for the Homerecordist/Chef. I personally liked the armadillo-like chicken spread. The shell added just the right amount of crunchy texture. The real delimma comes in identifying the armadillo-like chicken from the true armadillo. They are so similar in appearance that it can be a real problem.

I like to hide in the bushes, stalking the armadillo/armadillo-like chicken, and wait for it to lay an egg. If it's egg-bearing, you got yourself an armadillo-like chicken.

Its easy to see. Egg bearing ones wear red scarves on their heads and carry woven baskets in which they bear the eggs.

No that would be chicken or chicken-like armadillo eggs. There is no such thing as bear eggs. Bears don't lay eggs.

Bunnys will lay anything. That's where all the bunny-like armadillos come from. That and a whole lot of chicken-like bunny crap.
