hey people...
I know this is the place where I'll got the answer of this curious question...

How the old records were recorded, specially in mono Era.

I found a blog that give us a minimal view of mono era and how the stereo was introduced in 1960s
look here

I hope there is anyone here that know the complete story. and please share with us.

I believe that knowing the history give us perspective for to future.

Bless!

Mary had a little lamb ............................................ the rest is all history!

If anyone has the kind of in depth exhaustive knowledge and a couple of months to answer your question, will you pay them ? :p
Will you pay them well ? :)

As a home recording forum, you'll find that various topics and questions and debates throw up snippets of interesting information and over the years, you can put together lots of puzzle pieces to form a picture.
For your quest, there is a universe of stuff relating to your question in libraries, bookshops, the internet etc.
You may find great fulfilment in your research.

But you say you don't have the money. Does that mean you don't think that we have the knowledge? I am shocked and hurt! I mean, it's completely true that I know next to nothing about the history of audio recording (something about Edison?), but I am shocked and hurt nonetheless!

:D

It all started back in 2900 B.C. with the first wave editors and DAW's. Though they were quite primitive by today's standards, their introduction made it possible for pretty much any talentless boob with a cheap set of chisels to create their own recordings.

Seen below is an example of a prehistoric version of WaveTab, the predecessor to Steinberg's WaveLab

Hence the birth of home recording. Not much has changed since then except the technology.

And here is another picture found during the times of Christ. As you can see, the pop filter hadn't been invented yet.

It should also be noted that, during these times, the importance of recording had not come to fruition. Otherwise, there may have been a book-on-tape version of the new testament.

And that mic led to a wax cylinder. (which later melted before it was able to be pressed)
