Hissing noises

I have been working on a homemade cd for weeks now and I just burned a sample of it to a cd. When I listened to it, it was hissing and fuzzy in the background. Is there anyway I can filter it? I am using Logic 4.8, and a program called DB Audio Mixer. Does anyone know what to do for these programs?

Thanks,

Try burning at a slower speed. Burning a CD at too high a speed can cause errors and the sounds you're describing.

I burned it at the lowest speed because I am new to burning. Is there anything else that could be wrong?

Does the entire project sound like that? Or is it just the CD?

Do you notice the hissing when your mixing in your DAW or does it just show up when you burned it to CD? If it's the latter, then it could be a burning issue as discussed above. If the hiss is just in your tracks, you can try and mute out unnecessary tracks (where there's nothing playing) to help reduce it. If you're on a computer and you can edit the wave files--go through and delete sections where instruments/vocals aren't playing. Once everything gets going, your signal-to-noise ratio will likely improve and you won't notice it as much.

Okay, I'll go and try it then, and see what I can do. Thanks guys!! If there are anymore suggestions, feel free to help . Thanks again!
