Don't know if anyone here has ever actually done it, but I interned at a tv studio. The one I worked at took the talent recording the legal terms and conditions at a fairly quick pace, but not uncomfortably fast, and actually cut out all of the spaces between words manually. If you use a time expander, or compressor, you could cut important sounds out of the words, and when you're dealing with "the fine print" that is not an option.
