Hi, My names Gaz, I'm a musician and engineer from Ireland and have been trying to learn the art of recording since I was about 13 and have been failing at it quite nicely since, but hopefully with the support of all the people on this forum I just might be able to get my act together and pump out some tunes that everyone can enjoy,
I have enjoyed limited success with my craft thus far tho, Recording a Demo two summers ago for a friend of mine which is still quite an achievement in my eyes and is a benchmark that I need to aim over. And with some recording time bought in January to record a demo for my gigs I should have plenty of hands on time in a pro studio environment and talks of a friends new band wanting some work done, that I have gladly volunteered for
As far as gear goes, I've a modest setup, Basically a 16 track desk (4 outs, L, R, and 2 Monitor Mixes) its a live desk mostly that I use in studio as well, A Lexicon Omega Studio, A Shure SM58 and 2 SM57's, A pair of Røde M3's and an AKG D11 for Bass Drums etc., A Handful of Guitars and Instruments all running into a Macbook, 2.4Ghz, 4Gb Ram Running Cubase, And I do a little work on Reason 4.
Anyway I hope that clears up who this random new poster is on the forum and I look forward to learning from you guys and making great new friends.
