I could make all the room in the world for vapid, senseless posts, over at Tascambbs, where the ground rules were [para], 'no self promotion, no spam, watch your language, it's a family forum', etc.
You were a pain in the ass over at Tascambbs, Derek, and I tolerated you with the utmost deference to bbs etiquette and Tascam, but when you showed up here being TWICE the pain in the ass as before, dude, the gloves were off!

Your superior & condescending attitude is very apparent, and yes, it annoys people, starting with me. That type of attitude grates on my nerves, quite a bit.
Your off-the-wall references do not fly with me, but you're obviously very satisfied with yourself, and your ability to be off the wall.
Everyone enjoys the funny quip, one liner, and occasional bombastic statement, but you seem to be constantly trivial, you're not funny, and you sideline almost any thread you touch,... f/i, this one.
I have no vested interest in flaming-the-hell-out-of-you for the rest of bbs eternity, but if you keep calling attention to yourself by repeatedly referencing my name, for one reason or another, then of course I'm gonna flame you. That annoys me a great deal, that you'd mention me by name, repeatedly, in an unflattering manner.
Trust me, people know me around here, and it's not like me at all to go beserk when someone just mentions my name,... f/i,... Reel mentioned this-,... Reel -this-,... Reel -that-,... oh, way-to-go Reel,.... Reel likes Yoko, oh haha, yuk-yuk Reel. You name it, I just don't get in contention with people for the random mentioning of my name. But you seem to have a snotty, condescending way of looping my name into your own posts, that aggrivates me very much. Stop doing this, and I'll stop reacting.
I fault Larry Robinson for being a trivial know-it-all, more than once in a while, and you heard it here, first. LR is excellent within the scope of his knowledge, no doubt he's near-genius, and a professor of kinetic energy at [university], BUT, when he responds to each & every technical Tascam question with his usual rap,... hold on to your seats folks,... he's often out of his league, technically speaking. He's often wrong in the troubleshooting tips and fixes he gives, because he's simply out of his league, and he's also the one loaded with the most trivial posts ever! [HINT: That's why Derek loves him so much, and got along with him so well.]
That's no a huge crime, but face it, being trivial and giving out bogus info on a techical board is often irritating,... or at least I find it so. Being wrong I give a pass, although I think he should stick to what he knows best: the 246, and leave the rest of the field alone.
It's being trivial, off the wall, and quite the self-centered individual when it comes to moderation and deleting posts that irritates me most, about LR. I've seen him occasionally delete my technical posts because it showed his own post to be in error, or worse, so that he could co-opt and steal my point and make it look like his own, so why shouldn't I be irritated?
Derek, if I were to meet you, and we'd share a pint of beer at a pub, I'd probably come away thinking your a very decent and intelligent guy, probably someone who could teach me a few things. But since we only meet on the web, and all I have to judge you by is your posts, I find you annoying, condescending, trivial, contrite, and a very self-satisfied pain in the ass.
I really don't want to flame you, ongoingly into eternity, but you insult me directly, either with those sideways derogatory remarks, or straight up in my face. As long as you continue to do so, I will continue coming back and ramming your words down your throat,... or worse.
Derek, wait: stop: look in the mirror: You're an annoying pest.
Please make your posts topical, and not trivial, off the wall, or directly insulting me or my intelligence, and I think we'll get along great, TBD.
