I noticed you looking into "budget" (under $1000USD), BUT "true pro quailty" outboard gear in this forum!
I recommend you look into DaviSound: www.davisound.com
I found them 'bout a year and a half ago and now have 3 (almost 4) of their products now. I've mentioned them a few times here before in the past and am AMAZED the name hasn't caught-on 'round here yet as this IS www.homerecording.com and this company is one of the best that makes "true pro quailty" gear at "home recording prices" in my opinion! Funny thing is, they've been 'round FAR before home recording became as common as it is now!
