What fascinates me about the guy was how he found ingenious ways round problems. A proper engineer. He also more or less single handedly invented multi-tracking. Lets not forget that. By far his greatest achievement in my book.

Multi-tracking and right along with it analog delay, if I'm not mistaken.

I've seen pictures of his workshop. Looks like a real radio-head's shop, with electronic projects strewn everywhere and actual workbenches. :D

There was a really good documentary here just the other day about the guy including some glimpses at his extensive collection of "stuff". Fascinating watch. For those of you who use torrents or have access to the BBC Iplayer it was called "Les Paul:Chasing Sound". Well worth a watch.

Well you keep telling us what a pleasure it is to work on lots of guitars and what a fantastic job it is. I thought it would be good if you could show us your set up. You also went around telling people you we're a dealer for several companies. I was interested to know which ones. Answers to both those questions would definitely elevate your standing on this board as an expert in your field. Thats all.

I have posted pics of stuff when either relevant or requested if I've been able. Others here have seen my work and one or two have visited my workshop as well. I just thought it would be a good chance for you to show us all that you truly do have some level of involvement in the guitar repair and setup industry and not just messing with a few guitars on a couch and a footstool for a bench with a level of understanding to match. Thats all.

The trouble is VP, the longer you fail to produce some sort of evidence of these things you claim the harder it will be for you to claw back any credibility with even the most sympathetic member here. Your choice.

I THOUGHT, I made myself clearly understandable in my pm to you..and here you are...still in this thread.

I'm generally a fairly patient person with children...Your response to me was compliant and willing to stop jumping into threads for the sake of stirring the embers..and...you then, ask me to let ya know, if you started crossing the line again..and within 30 minutes of sending me your reply, you are back at it!!

I think ya need a vacation Pete...bye.

I'm not big on banning anyone, but VP really pushed the envelope..the stamp.. the seal...he also, just happened to irritate the mail deliverer..lucky for you guys I love ya! :eek:

Don't get too excited..it is a 6 month ban and I'm sure he will be back..just as sure as I am, that he will push the button to be banned permamently within a few hours upon returning.:rolleyes:

Oh, and the spankies..they will be my pleasure..:D
 
Thanks true, Just glad someone had the guts to make the decision on this one. The place will be better for it and whats more I'm sure we all appreciate a firm hand in the spank shed.:D
